These are the terms on which this website and its public calculators are provided. They cover using the site; they are not a customer agreement, and no subscription terms exist yet.
General information only
Every calculator on this site produces an estimate from the figures you enter and the assumptions stated on its page. Nothing here is financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, credit assistance or a credit quote, and nothing here takes your circumstances into account, because nothing here knows them.
A result is not an offer, an approval, a pre-approval, or an assessment by any lender or revenue authority. A repayment you can afford on this site is not a loan you will be granted; a duty figure is not the amount a revenue office will assess.
Accuracy, and its limits
Considerable effort goes into these calculations being right: arithmetic is exact and rounded only for display, regulatory rates come from the authority’s own published documents with the dates they apply to, and every worked example on the site is computed by the same engine that serves the calculator rather than typed in by hand.
None of that is a guarantee. Rates change, published documents are amended, and a calculator’s assumptions may not match your situation. Where a schedule could not be verified — South Australian transfer duty today — no figure is offered at all rather than an unverified one.
Check anything you are relying on against the source, which is linked on every regulated calculator, and take professional advice before acting.
Using the calculators
The calculators on this site are free to use, with no account, for your own purposes and for advising your clients.
Embedding them on another website is a separate matter and requires an account. The embed runtime, the branding and the reporting that go with it are the commercial product; the public pages are not a licence to redistribute it.
Content and third-party links
The text, design and software on this site are ours. Regulatory documents linked from the sources page belong to the authorities that publish them; those links are provided so you can check a figure against its origin, and we have no control over what those pages say or whether they remain available.
There is no user-generated content on this site: no comments, no reviews, no submitted profiles, nothing published by anybody but us.
Changes
Calculators, rates and this page can change. Regulatory rule sets are versioned with their effective periods, so a rate change adds a new version rather than silently editing an old one, and a calculation against a past date remains reproducible.
